Article 1 (Acceptance of the Terms)
The Yonsei School of Business admissions application website (hereinafter the "Website") provides Website services on the condition that Yonsei University (hereinafter the "School") and the Website user (hereinafter the "User") accept the Website service terms (hereinafter the "Terms"). The Terms may be updated from time to time without notice, and the User may check the latest version of the Terms at any time through the Terms page of the Website.
Article 2 (Purpose)
The purpose of the Website service Terms is to stipulate the use, procedures, and other necessary matters between the Yonsei University website and you in connection with the User's use of the various internet services (hereinafter the "Services") provided by the Yonsei University website.
Article 3 (Obligations of the User)
(1) When registering to use the Services, the User shall provide complete information consistent with current facts (the "Registration Information").
(2) The User shall immediately update any changes to the Registration Information. If the information provided or updated by the User is inaccurate, or if the User commits any of the acts specified in Paragraph 4 of this Article, the School may restrict or suspend the User's use of the Website services pursuant to Article 12 of these service Terms.
(3) Upon completing the service registration procedure, the User is assigned a password and a user account. The User shall maintain the security of the password and user account at the User's own responsibility. For the security of the password and user account, if any problem occurs, such as the password or account being used without the User's authorization, the User shall immediately report it to the Website administrator and shall ensure that the User logs out of the User's account at the end of each session.
(4) The User may be subject to sanctions or punishment if the User commits any of the following acts:
(a) Any act that causes harm to others (including a minority)
(b) Acts of posting vulgar or obscene data, text, software, music, photographs, graphics, video messages, etc. (hereinafter "Content")
(c) Acts of impersonating others or falsely stating personal information
(d) Acts of posting or publishing Content to which one holds no rights (including all rights such as intellectual property rights)
(e) Acts of posting unnecessary or unauthorized advertisements or promotional materials, or soliciting, posting, or publishing "junk mail," "spam," "chain letters," "pyramid schemes," etc.
(f) Acts of posting or publishing software viruses intended to destroy, disrupt, or limit the functioning of computer software, hardware, or telecommunications equipment
(g) Acts of posting or publishing materials containing other computer code, files, or programs
(h) Acts of collecting or storing the personal information of other users
(i) Acts of defaming a person by alleging true or false facts for the purpose of slander
(j) Acts of distributing false information for the purpose of providing oneself or others with financial gain or causing damage to others
(k) Acts of gambling or engaging in speculative conduct by wagering property
(l) Acts of distributing information that arranges prostitution or mediates lewd acts
(m) Acts of repeatedly causing words, sounds, text, or images that arouse shame, disgust, or fear to reach the other party, thereby interfering with the other party's ordinary life
(n) Acts of fraudulently using another person's telecommunications service identity
(o) Other illegal or improper acts
(5) The User agrees to comply with local regulations regarding online conduct and acceptable Content, recognizing the worldwide nature of the internet.
(6) The User agrees not to copy, reproduce, sell, resell, or use the Service itself, the use of the Service, or access to the Service for commercial purposes.
Article 4 (Obligations of the School)
(1) The School shall comply with the laws and regulations related to the operation and maintenance of the Services, such as the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization, the Protection of Communications Secrets Act, and the Framework Act on Telecommunications.
(2) If opinions or complaints raised by a User are recognized as objectively justified, the School shall accept them through lawful procedures. (However, where processing is difficult, the reason shall be notified.)
Article 5 (The School's Personal Information Protection Policy)
The School treats the User's personal information as very important.
The School's personal information protection policy may be updated from time to time without notice, and the User may check the latest version of the privacy policy at any time by using the privacy policy.
Article 6 (General Practices Concerning Use and Storage)
The User acknowledges that general practices and limitations concerning the use of the Website services may be established.
Article 7 (Links)
The Website may provide links to other websites or materials. As the School has no control over such sites and materials, the School shall not be liable for the contents, advertisements, products, etc. of such sites and materials, except where there are special grounds attributable to the School's intent or gross negligence.
Article 8 (Regarding Content)
If the User has any questions regarding the accuracy, stability, or quality of Content, the User shall inquire directly with the person who created the Content. The User also acknowledges that the User does not rely on Content provided to or created by the School. The School shall be exempt from liability regarding the accuracy, safety, etc. of Content, except where the School's intent or gross negligence is recognized.
The School may reclassify Content provided by a User into an appropriate category.
The User acknowledges that the School does not pre-review Content but holds the right (not the obligation) to refuse or relocate Content that is publicly available through the Services. The School may delete Content that violates the service Terms or is illegal.
Article 9 (Public Content Submitted to the School)
A "publicly accessible service area" means a place that the general public can access (e.g., communities, bulletin boards, etc.).
Article 10 (Disclosure of Personal Information)
The School may provide your personal information, such as the User's name and email address, to a third party within the scope permitted by law in the following cases:
(a) Where the User violates relevant laws in using the Services and an investigative agency or other government agency requests the provision of information
(b) Where necessary for information protection duties, such as confirming misconduct, including the User's violation of law or of these service Terms
(c) Where necessary to verify the authenticity of various certificates submitted by the User to the School
(d) Where otherwise required by law
Article 11 (Suspension of Use and Deletion of Content)
The User agrees that the School may suspend the User's use of the Services or delete content contained within the Services if the User commits any of the following acts. When the School takes a measure to suspend a User's use of the Services, it shall give notice and an opportunity to explain. The School shall withdraw the suspension measure if it determines that the User's explanation is reasonable.
(1) Acts of damaging another person's information processed, stored, or transmitted via the information and communications network by improper means, or infringing, misappropriating, or divulging another person's secrets
(2) Acts of distributing malicious programs such as Trojan horses and computer viruses
(3) Acts of posting or distributing unwholesome materials such as obscene or violent materials
(4) Other acts prohibited by relevant laws or in violation of the contents of these service Terms
Article 12 (Prohibition of Infringement of Rights)
(1) The User acknowledges that the Services, or the software necessary in connection therewith, contains the School's intellectual property rights and other exclusive and confidential information protected by law, and agrees not to commit any act that infringes upon them.
(2) The User acknowledges and agrees that the contents included in sponsored advertisements, or the information provided to the User through the Services or by advertisers, are protected and recognized by law, such as copyrights, trademarks, service marks, and patents.
(3) The User agrees that, except where expressly authorized by the School or an advertiser, the User may not modify, rent, lend, sell, distribute, or produce, in whole or in part, any derivative work based on the Services or software.
(4) The School grants the User a personal, non-transferable, and non-exclusive license to use the object code of the software on a single computer. The User shall not copy, modify, create derivative works of, reverse engineer, reverse assemble, or attempt to discover the source code of the software, nor sell, transfer, sublicense, create a security interest in, or transfer any right in the software, nor permit any third party to do any of the foregoing. The User agrees not to modify the software or use a modified version of the software in any unauthorized manner to access the Services, and agrees not to access the Services by any means other than through the interface provided by the School for accessing the Services.
Article 13 (Information Regarding the UI)
The User agrees not to display or use the School UI in any manner without the prior approval of the School.
Article 14 (Jurisdiction and Governing Law)
(1) In the event of a dispute arising in connection with the use of the Services, a lawsuit shall be filed with the competent court under the Civil Procedure Act.
(2) In the case of Paragraph (1) above, the governing law shall be the law of Korea.
Article 15 (Procedures for Handling Complaints and Damage from Infringement Incidents)
If a User experiences any complaint or damage from an infringement incident while using the services provided through the School website, the User shall notify the School of Business website administrator (mbaprogram@yonsei.ac.kr) by email, and the School shall take appropriate measures within the shortest possible time.
